Darel
Chase is a fully ordained Minister, holding ministerial credentials
and earned degrees in Theology and Ministry. He is married to
Tia Lecian-Chase, who is the love of his life. He is the Pastor
of Kingdom Embassy Christian Church, located in Louisville, KY.
Darel
Chase has over 36 years training and teaching experience in the
martial arts. He began his study of martial arts in 1974 in the
discipline of Moo Duk Kwan (Tae Kwan Do), under the leadership
and direction of Sabumnim Bill Timme at the Ridgewood YMCA. He
was introduced to the art of Jujutsu through O'Sensei Michael
DePasquale, Sr. (deceased) of Yoshitsune Jujitsu and
Hakko-ryu Jujutsu. He continued his study of martial arts under
the leadership and direction of Bill Smith, Hanshi in the art
of Aikijujitsu earning the rank of Hachidan (8th Dan).
Kyoshi
Chase is the Headmaster and Kaiso of Daito-ryu Aiki-jujitsu Goshinkan
Renmei, a modern system of Aiki-budo, which consists of Daito-ryu
Aiki-jujutsu, Jujutsu, Ken-jutsu and Reiki (Healing Arts). He
is listed on the Aikido Journal under the affiliation of the Daito-ryu
Aiki-bujutsu Kenkyukai. Chase Sensei is also the Kaicho (President)
of the International Combat Aiki-jujutsu Federation.
Chase
Sensei has demonstrated a true mastery of combative applications
of aikijutsu and has some extremely powerful expressions of budo.
His own expression of aiki-related arts is complementary to many
systems. He has a superb teaching/delivery style and a great "mat
rapport" while teaching.
